Sorry for the lack of updates guys. I know there is a lot going on with Norman right now. Norman’s next project The Walking Dead is set to premiere on AMC this Halloween. Recently, Norman was on the Hawaii 0-5 series premiere. All these updates will be added to the site this weekend, bare with me. Thank you all of your patience.
Red Flag Releasing has acquired U.S. theatrical rights to the crime thriller “Meskada.”
The indie distributor will also release the film day-and-date on demand via cable, satellite providers and digital download channels Dec. 3. The film, which was written and directed by Josh Sternfeld, had its world premiere at the 2010 Tribeca Film Festival.
Nick Stahl, Rachel Nichols, Kellan Lutz, Grace Gummer and Norman Reedus star in the story of a small-town detective trying to solve the burglary-turned-homicide of a three-year-old boy in an affluent suburb of Meskada County. As his investigation progresses, it becomes entangled with the ecomomic and political struggles of nearby Caswell, the detective’s childhood stomping grounds.
“ ‘Meskada’ is a bona fide indie with a compelling story by writer/director Josh Sternfeld, shot solely in New York with great cinematography and an ensemble cast of up and coming stars,” said producer and Red Flag Releasing partner Ron Stein.
Jay Kubassek, Jen Gatien, Michael Goodin and Shawn Rice also produced the film; Sig De Miguel and Stephen Vincent are executive producers.
Red Flag, which was launched earlier this year by Paul Federbush, Laura Kim and Stein, released “8: The Mormon Proposition.”
Inferno Entertainment’s specialty label Ember Films (“South of the Border”) is handling worldwide sales for the film. The Benelux, Korea, Middle East, Turkey, Greece and Thailand territories have already been sold.
